Why do males have abdominothoracic respiration?
Males as in elderly there is a change in the collagen network in their intercoastal muscles which prior support the normal thoracic respiration but due to their membranous changes the abdominal muscles which are accessory earlier take the part in active respiration to increase and decrease the volume of chest.Dec 15, 2016
