Why do jurors say not guilty instead of innocent?
Not guilty as a legal term means the state could not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt to the satisfaction of a jury. That may be because the defendant is innocent, or because they didn't find enough evidence, or because they presented the case badly.Apr 20, 2024
