What is the role of acetylcholine in cognition?
ACh is a neuromodulator that plays a critical role in cognitive function. Previous immunohistochemical, electrophysiological, pharmacological and behavioral studies have shown that ACh modulates the circuits involved in hippocampus-dependent memory.
