What is the larva of the Acroceridae?
The larvae develop as internal parasitoids of spiders. Eggs are laid on vegetation and in some acrocerids, these hatch into a very active 'planidium' larvae that latch on to a passing spider (reminiscent of the way the triungulin larvae of oil beetles latch on to bees).
