A rich history. The site The Chesterfield Mayfair inhabits once formed a house owned by Lord Berkley. Following his death in 1678, Lord Berkeley's widow developed the land surrounding Berkley House. Three of the houses that were built here – numbered 34 to 36 – now make up The Chesterfield Mayfair.
