What is the difference between cellulose and cellulose acetate?
While cellulose and cellulose acetate are technically thermoplastic polymers, the tight ordering of cellulose means it is insoluble in organic solvents and doesn't flow with heat. On the other hand, cellulose acetate (CA) tends to be soluble in certain organic solvents and can flow with heat.Mar 31, 2015
