What is the difference between acinar and ductal carcinoma?
The diagnosis of ductal and acinar adenocarcinoma generally depends on histopathologic and immunohistochemical examination. Histologically, ductal adenocarcinomas are composed of columnar cells arranged in either a papillary or cribriform pattern, whereas acinar adenocarcinomas exhibit cuboidal cells arranged in acini.
