What is acriflavine used for?
Acriflavine (ACF) is an acridine dye, first synthesized in 1912 by German scientist Paul Ehrlich and recognized as one of the first used antibacterial drugs, which was later replaced upon the discovery of penicillin. It was used extensively during World War I as an antiseptic and for treatment of coma.Aug 26, 2022
