What is acinar in medical terms?
Acinar cells are highly polarized pyramidal epithelial cells with microvilli, and their cytoplasm shows strong eosinophilic staining [2]. The main function of acinar cells is to synthesize and secrete digestive enzymes, such as amylase, lipase, and trypsin, to the duodenum [38].
