Note: Hindu beneficent protector god, he is an agent of all that is mobile and is stationary, upholding the movables and immovable. He is golden armed, beautiful-handed, and golden haired. Savitr disappeared as an independent deity from the Hindu pantheon after the end of the Vedic period.
