How do you treat Actinobacillus in humans?
Penicillin is effective for the treatment of cervicofacial actinomycosis. Tetracyclines are sometimes recommended in patients who are penicillin allergic and this drug is also often active against the actinobacillus organism. Actinomycosis may require penicillin treatment for 3–12 months as well as possible surgery.
